Feature: Take Pride Trivia — The Factory Studio Celebrates Pride with Community and Connection
Pride isn’t only about parades or parties. Sometimes, it’s about showing up — laughing, learning, and being together.
For Pride Month 2025, The Factory Studio celebrated in a way that felt close to home: through Take Pride Trivia, held at Limketkai Center in collaboration with CDO Trivia Night. It was an afternoon of games, camaraderie, and pride — proving that learning about LGBTQ+ culture can be both meaningful and fun.
A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Culture
Take Pride Trivia took place on June 21, 2025, at 1L West, Limketkai Center. The event welcomed teams from all over the city — friends, families, and creatives — coming together for an inclusive celebration of diversity and knowledge.
One of the highlights of the event was a special trivia category dedicated to LGBTQ+ culture — questions about queer history, representation, and community milestones that reminded everyone of how far acceptance has come. The room was filled with laughter, healthy competition, and moments of recognition as players shared both pride and insight.
The Factory Studio Joins the Fun
This year, The Factory Studio wasn’t just a partner — we were part of the experience. One of the most exciting parts of the game was the Factory Studio category, where participants answered questions about our studio, past projects, and creative milestones.
The winning team won a complimentary family photoshoot with us — a small token to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and support, and to share what we do best: capturing connection.
Seeing people light up as they recognized photos, artists, and names from The Factory reminded us how deeply our work is intertwined with the creative heartbeat of Cagayan de Oro.
Community Over Competition
While teams competed for points and prizes, what made the afternoon memorable wasn’t the scoreboard — it was the spirit. The laughter between rounds, the cheers for right answers, the small high-fives across tables.
It was a space where LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, and families could celebrate identity without performance — just genuine fun, acceptance, and curiosity.
For us, Pride is about that kind of connection. It’s about being part of something that builds understanding, one conversation — or one trivia question — at a time.
Gratitude and Reflection
We extend our heartfelt thanks to CDO Trivia Night and Limketkai Center for organizing and hosting this celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined, participated, and brought such good energy to the event.
As the questions faded and the laughter lingered, one thing was clear — Pride doesn’t always need a spotlight. Sometimes, it just needs a seat at the table.
