Focus on Martha Andre

There are moments in a photographer’s career where everything clicks—the subject’s energy, professionalism, and vision all align to make something effortless. Working with Martha Andre was one of those moments.

Already a rising name in Philippine modeling, Martha’s presence in front of the camera feels both confident and vulnerable, like she’s telling a story without words.

Her Journey & Vision

Martha Andre hails from Cagayan de Oro, and though still young, she’s already carving out a presence in runway and print. According to an interview with Preview, she began her modeling journey by sending self-shots to agencies and facing numerous rejections before signing with Luminary Model Management in early 2023.

She speaks candidly about rejection—not as failure, but as redirection. One of her most memorable moments was booking a casting in Thailand after initially doubting she’d be chosen—“I just went through it,” she says.

Martha sees modeling as a form of storytelling—an opportunity to inhabit a narrative, to transform and yet still remain herself. In her words:

“The most interesting part … is collaboration … [this work] inspires me.” [Preview.ph]

The Shoot: Energy, Professionalism & Ease

What struck me most during our session was how effortless she made everything feel. She arrived prepared, open, and ready to collaborate. Her professionalism wasn’t formal or stiff—it was a fluid presence that elevated the shoot.

She understood how to move, how to frame angles, and yet stayed grounded, letting moments breathe. She trusted the process. That trust allowed us to move faster, take more chances, and land images that feel alive rather than posed.

Her energy was contagious—lighting setups, wardrobe changes, quick shifts in mood—all felt like part of a shared creative dialogue. She wasn’t just a subject; she was a creative partner.

By the end of the shoot, I felt proud (and relieved) that The Factory’s lens had captured Martha in moments that feel true, powerful, and uniquely hers.

Why This Matters

Martha embodies something I care deeply about: authenticity. She is proof that a model doesn’t have to be perfect—only honest. Her openness, her grit, and her willingness to show up, again and again, bring something rare to the frame.

At The Factory, I aim to collaborate with people who don’t just “perform” for the shot, but who bring themselves. With Martha Andre, that intention was honored.

This is a partnership I’m proud of—and it’s just the beginning.
